Ryker's First Trip to Disney

We decided to ease into the land of Mickey Mouse, so, we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios for Ryker's first trip. They have lots of shows and rides for little kids and the magical Christmas lights. At our first show, American Idol, there was a comedian warming up the crowd. At the first applause, Ryker decided that it was WAY too loud for his little ears and he let us know. So, Ryker and Mommy watched people outside while Cassie and Daddy enjoyed the show.

The big news of the trip was that Cassie was tall enough to ride Tower of Terror. She was so excited! She and Daddy rode together. She was a champ! (Rob said that if the ride had lasted a few minutes longer, she probably would have cried). She came running after it was over so excited about the ride! I asked if she was scared and she said "I was scared a little bit". But, she is still talking about how cool it was and how she wants to do it again!

Time for cereal!

Happy Halloween 2010!!

Cassie was a very committed ghost for Halloween this year. She went to each house and said "Triiiiick or Treeeeaat" in her scary voice. Ryker was Elvis but the Florida heat kept him from wearing his costume for very long. We had as much fun Trick or Treating as we did hanging out on our front porch giving out candy. Cassie is definitely a Halloween junkie like her Daddy!!

A visit to the Zoo

Here's a story about two overtired kiddos and their determined parents ready for a wonderful family outing at the Brevard Zoo. Overall a success, with only a couple of meltdowns (including one for Ashley). Though, we can probably say with certainty that no one enjoyed the train ride...all passengers included...because Ryker wasn't so happy about it and he told everyone so!

Happy 6th Birthday Cassie!

Cassie had a perfect birthday. She got everything she wanted. She wanted a barbie cake and she wanted the barbie to have brown hair like her. She wanted Grandma and Grandpa to visit and to bring the birthday clown. And, she wanted to go to Disney. And, she wanted a Buzz Lightyear doll. What a wonderful 6th birthday for a wonderful 6th birthday girl. Possibly, an overtired birthday girl, as seen in the cake pictures...
